The intense combination of downhill and freeride elements that has captivated downhill enthusiasts since 2013 is reaching new heights in 2024. For the first time in its ten-year history, Red Bull Hardline will leave its home in Wales and expand into a two-stop series this year.
The inaugural satellite event is scheduled to take place on February 23rd and 24th in our very own backyard at Maydena Bike Park, Tasmania. The Maydena track promises to be just as monumental, challenging, and demanding as the renowned original event. Following this, the race returns to its Welsh home in Dyfi Valley on June 1st to 2nd for the second event, ensuring a continuation of the Red Bull Hardline legacy in pushing downhill mountain bike racing to unprecedented levels and delivering an unparalleled downhill racing experience.
In addition to the thrilling Red Bull Hardline, Maydena Bike Park is thrilled to reintroduce Gravity Fest, featuring The Maydena Cup DH, Jump Jam, King & Queen of the Mountain, Kids Fest, Live Music, and more. Feel free to explore additional details here, keeping in mind that this celebration of gravity-based mountain biking kicks off from February 20th to 25th, 2024.
Exciting times are around the corner for our very own biking enthusiasts, Patrick Berry and his son, Parker, as they are eagerly anticipating the event and will be enjoying the view from the mountainside this weekend. “Parker and I are pumped that it’s almost time to hit up Hardline; after watching all the previous events on Redbull TV, we can’t wait to see it in person as the TV never truly shows how fast someone is going down the hill,” said Patrick.
“We love seeing massive events like this and huge global companies like Red Bull get behind our state and show it off to a whole new audience… We think our little slice of heaven here in Tasmania should be seen by the whole world!“
