Time to go Dry!!!

Hangovers may be a thing of the past (at least for the next month) at 4one4 Property Co.

We are happy to announce that we accepted the challenge of going alcohol-free (for a great cause) for the whole month of July!!!!

‘Dry July’ is a fundraising campaign that encourages everyone to go alcohol-free in July to raise funds for cancer patients. It aims to raise money “to make a difficult time, a little easier for those affected by cancer”.

Looks like the hardest stuff ‘Dry July’ Team Leader, Martin Evans, & Fundraising Champion, Chris McGregor, will be drinking this July is Coffee.

Based on the available information in Dry July Foundation’s official website, the money raised through the campaign will be distributed by Dry July Foundation to cancer organisations across Australia. “We have partnered with more than 30 organisations this year, and participants can select their preferred beneficiary when signing up to Dry July.”

Martin Evans, a Real Estate Agent at 4one4 Property Co., and also the team leader for this cause, believes that ‘Dry July’ is a really good charity that’s very close to his heart.

“It’s always nice to help raise funds for research into different cancers. And it’s something that benefits you in return for not having alcohol for a month, so your body will also thank you.”

Aside from research, the funds raised through the campaign will provide invaluable services to people affected by cancer along with their families and carers– “whether it’s a lift to a life-saving appointment, guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to therapy programs, or a bed close to treatment.”

According to Martin, this will be the first time for many of the team at 4one4 Property Co. to take part in such a meaningful initiative, but he mentioned that he already participated twice in this cause–once with fellow 4one4 Property Co. Colleague, and Director, Patrick Berry. “It’s also a way to bring the team together: from work members to team members,” he said.

He also shared how this campaign is close to his heart, as his mom passed away with cancer; he knows how greatly important this cause is. Another thing, he is also maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle; he goes to the gym with two of our fellow team members, Abbey and Grace. So, abstaining from alcohol can definitely help.

Looking from the marketing side of things, he said that taking part in such a campaign is a “win-win-win” situation. “They say in the industry that we are in, you need to be involved in community things. So, by doing something like this, it helps cancer patients, it helps yourself mentally and physically, and at the same time, you’re also networking and advertising  your brand out there to people in a really good way: getting behind these certain causes,” he explained.

As the team leader, he mentioned some of the processes that the whole team is planning to do in support of this. He shared that Open Home events will be maximised to encourage people and clients to jump on board. Aside from this, the office will also be donating $100 for every sale that we make over the month of July. Social media and the current marketing tools of 4one4 will also be utilised to spread awareness about the cause and perhaps, motivate people to join or sponsor.

“I would love as many people to join this as possible. I’m gonna be sending them a link to jump on board. Along with my correspondents and clients, I will also be doing the same thing, and will let them know that this is what we’re doing as a team at 4one4.”

Let’s show our full-support for the ‘Dry July’ cause by going alcohol-free for the whole month of July. If you’re also interested to join us in helping cancer patients in Australia, you may contact our team at 4one4 or you may directly coordinate with Martin Evans through 0488 414 415.

No Alcohol beyond this point

Expect that this wouldn’t be the last year we’re participating in this fundraising campaign as Martin have something to tell everyone:

“I’m trying to make a pledge to do it every year.”

But, let’s not drink to that–at least in July.
